Transgenic Support    

ACGT, Inc. offers transgenic support services that include vector construction and animal genotyping. We design vectors for random (i.e., transgenic) or site-specific integration (i.e., knock-in and knock-out by homologous recombination) and assist with target gene identification, positive and negative selection markers and selection of an appropriate vector.

Confirmation of the vector integration site is provided. For specific site integration by homologous recombination, Southern blots or PCR analysis is used. For random vector site integration analysis, traditional screens of genomic DNA library are laborious, but we provide an efficient, less time-consuming protocol. Screening transgenic plants and animals is a time consuming task often due to the low integration rate of transgenes, and we have a large screening capacity to meet these needs.
