 LIBRARY CONSTRUCTION AND SEQUENCING

ACGT, Inc. provides shotgun sequencing services for a variety of samples including BAC, PAC, or cosmid DNA for genomic scale projects.

 Shotgun DNA Sequencing Service Description :

- Shotgun library construction by shearing of the DNA sources
- Size selection of fragmented DNA
- Subsequent subcloning of fragments into a cloning vector
- Library quality control check. E-coligenomic DNA contamination
  and empty vector contamination by cross-match. Less than 5%
  contamination will be accepted
- Plasmid purification of selected clones
- Primer extensions with forward and reverse primers
- Assembly of the overlapping sequences
- Completion for 100% coverage of the DNA by primer walking
- Determination of the consensus sequence

 You will receive:

- Assembled and based-called DNA sequences
- Publication-ready DNA sequences
- Electropherograms of each run
- All of the subclones, plasmid DNA, and internal primers generated   for the project
