Our History
In September of 1993, ACGT, Inc. began providing high quality and reliable manual DNA sequencing services to the research community in the Chicago area. As demand increased, we quickly updated technology platform to automated ABI instruments. Today, we analyze up to 1,500 samples per day at full capacity utilizing several ABI 3730 or 3730XL analyzers. We continue to work diligently to serve pharmaceutical and biotech companies as well as academia and governmental agencies for their exploratory and regulatory submission sequencing requirements.

In addition to the fully automated DNA sequencing services, over the years we have expanded our services to molecular biology research and development needs. In 1999, we began offering cloning, library construction, mutagenesis analyses, and genotyping.
In 2004, we moved to a new facility, started offering GLP-complied FDA submission supports, and expanded our capabilities in areas such as gene expression, pharmacogenomics, genetic stability testing, and microbial identification. We take pride in providing our clients with customized protocols and services in order to meet their specific requirement.
